On 28th May 2025, the Green and Healthy BiH project inaugurated its first innovation hub, Paxa House, in Potoci near Mostar, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. The hub is located at the School Sisters of St. Francis Christ the King convent and marks a significant milestone in the project's efforts to support sustainable agricultural development in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Paxa House serves a dual purpose: as a centre for the promotion of typical Herzegovinian agricultural products, and as an educational facility dedicated to sustainable farming, ecological production, and the conservation of natural resources. The hub also functions as the northern entry point of the planned Olive Oil Road, a route designed to connect local producers and strengthen the agrotourism sector in Herzegovina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The opening event was attended by delegations from AICS Tirana, led by Director Stefania Vizzaccaro, and CIHEAM Bari, represented by Fabrizio Contento. Local communities and agri-food producers gathered to present Herzegovina's sustainable products, including olive oils, wines, aronia juice, honey, natural cosmetics, and traditional goods. Attendees participated in a tasting session of premium Herzegovinian olive oils and toured the convent's gallery and Memory Room, which features historical exhibits connected to local cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the inauguration, the delegations visited the Federal Agro-Mediterranean Institute in Mostar, where they reviewed the institute's laboratory facilities and inspected equipment donated through the Green and Healthy BiH project and its predecessor initiatives. The visit reaffirmed the project's commitment to advancing local agricultural research, quality control, and sustainable production practices in the Herzegovinian agri-food sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
